The Institute of Acoustics' Reproduced Sound Conference began in 1985 at the Hydro Hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere, which was to remain as the Conference venue for the next 13 years.
In 1999 the Victoria Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon would take on the role of accommodating and supporting the 80+ delegates, many of whom bring partners and/or families. Since 2003 the Conference has been based at the Oxford Hotel in Wolvercote, the Sage Gateshead, Barcelo Brighton Old Ship Hotel, the Thistle Hotel in Brighton and the Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
Reproduced Sound Conferences seek to cover any and all aspects of acoustics which pertain to the reproduction of sound.
